Camping Under the Stars is a family-friendly overnight camping experience hosted by the City of Doral Parks and Recreation Department. Join us for an evening of outdoor fun, interactive activities, and a movie under the stars at Doral Central Park.

Registration is required to participate in overnight camping. Registration opens Monday, January 12 at 12:00 PM at CityofDoral.Eventbrite.com.

Event Date and Time

Friday, February 6, 2026

• 4:00 PM – Registration and check-in begin
• 5:30 PM – Official activities begin
• 9:00 PM – Outdoor movie begins (on the large screen)
• 11:00 PM – Lights Out (Park lights will be turned off for the night)

Saturday, February 7, 2026

• 7:00 AM – Wake-up call
  Kayak Launch Pad opens (8 kayaks available, first come, first served)
• 8:00 AM – Breakfast served by Boy Scouts of America
• 9:00 AM – Saturdays at the Market, Doral Central Park Turf Promenade

Please arrive early to check in, set up your tent, and enjoy all the evening activities before the movie starts.

Registration Information

Registration is required for all overnight campers. Pre-sale tickets are $10 per registered tent. On-site tickets, if available on the day of the event, will be $15 per tent. Space is limited, so early registration is strongly encouraged.

Check-In Information

Event entry and check-in begin at 4:00 PM and close at 7:30 PM. All participants must be present at check-in to receive wristbands and a tent number. Tent setup is not permitted before check-in and will not be allowed once registration closes.

The adult listed as the Responsible Party must present a valid photo ID and remain with their group for the duration of the event.

Movie Information

The movie Elio will be shown on a large outdoor screen and will begin promptly at 9:00 PM.

What To Bring

Be prepared for a night outdoors! Please bring:

• Tent and all camping gear
• Sleeping bags, blankets, pillows
• Flashlights and extra batteries
• Insect repellent
• Drinking water and personal snacks
• Lawn chairs or blankets

Check the event rules for additional recommended items.

Parking Information

• Parking is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Early arrival is encouraged.
• Parking is open to the public and is not limited to registered campers.
• When the main parking lot is full, guests will be directed to overflow parking.
• Unloading zones are available for campers to briefly unload tents and gear. Vehicles must be moved immediately after unloading.

Overflow Parking & Free Trolley Service

Overflow parking will be available for guests when on-site parking reaches capacity. Campers who use overflow parking will have the opportunity to move their vehicles back to the park before lights out at 11:00 PM, as parking spaces become available.

Complimentary trolley service will be provided to and from the park on Friday, February 6, from 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Activities

Enjoy a variety of exciting activities planned throughout the event, such as:

• Animal encounters
• Family fitness class
• Arts & crafts
• Campfire marshmallow roasting
• Field Games
• Outdoor movie screening

Activities conclude at 8:30 PM.

Campfire & Food

The community fire pit will be open Friday evening for S’mores only. Boy Scouts Troop 552 will sell S’mores kits for $5. No other cooking is permitted at the fire pit.

A hot breakfast will be available for purchase Saturday morning. Campers are encouraged to support Boy Scouts Troop 552.

Food Trucks

A variety of food trucks will be available Friday evening with meals and snacks for purchase. Participating vendors will be announced closer to the event.

• All campers must register before setting up
• No alcoholic beverages, smoking, or pets
• Tents must follow size and spacing guidelines
• Responsible adults must stay with their group
• Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising children

Failure to follow event rules may result in removal from the event.
