Office of the City Clerk

Overview

The City Clerk serves as the Corporate Secretary of the City, the official Secretary of the legislative body, the Official Records Custodian of the City of Doral, and Supervisor of Elections for all City of Doral municipal elections (posted pursuant to CS/CS/SB80, 2017 Florida Legislature).

The Office of the City Clerk plays a central role in maintaining transparency, accuracy, and public access to the City’s legislative records and official documents.

Responsibilities

The City Clerk’s Office is responsible for:

  • Noticing public meetings and maintaining accurate records of City Council proceedings
  • Safeguarding the City’s vital records, including Ordinances, Resolutions, Minutes, Contracts, Agreements, and Proclamations
  • Establishing and managing records retention standards and archival systems
  • Administering and certifying City of Doral municipal elections
  • Publishing and maintaining the City of Doral Code of Ordinances
  • Processing public records requests and ensuring access to public information
  • Maintaining lobbyist registration records
  • Administering oaths and providing notary services
  • Serving as the official keeper of the City Seal
  • Providing administrative and clerical support to the City Council
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the City Council
