Our Vision
Since 2015, the City of Doral has embraced a Smart City approach using information and communication technology to improve service quality, transform operations, enhance infrastructure, and foster stronger connections with our community. Our mission is to harness innovation to create a more efficient, responsive, and engaging city for all residents, visitors, and businesses.
Building the Foundation
In 2016, the Information Technology Department launched a major infrastructure upgrade to support this vision. Investments included:
- Enhancing network systems for greater reliability and speed
- Upgrading City devices to improve staff productivity
- Deploying traffic safety technologies
- Implementing the Digital Citizen Engagement System to streamline resident interactions with City services
Connecting with Residents
Our Citizen Engagement Strategy focuses on delivering real-time, accessible services:
- License Plate Recognition Cameras to improve traffic safety and monitoring
- Mobile & Web Applications that provide residents with instant access to City information
- Upgraded 311 System that allows residents to request services, share feedback, and report issues directly to City departments
- Website Enhancements for easier navigation, faster updates, and improved accessibility
