Description
What is the Holiday Card Contest?
The City of Doral is offering a challenge to Doral Elementary School aged children to design the 2025 City of Doral Holiday Card. Two students’ artworks will be selected to win prizes. Category Number one will be students in Kindergarten, First and Second Grade. Category Number Two will be students in Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade. Both winners will be featured in a City Publication and will be awarded their prizes at our Park & Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, November 21, 2025.
Who is Eligible to Participate?
All City of Doral public and private Elementary School students (Grades K-5) are eligible to participate in the Holiday Card Contest. Children who wish to enter must do so through either their school art teacher or by their parents submitting the registration form and either a digital copy of the card drawing via email or to Gabriel.Cabrera@cityofdoral.com or in person at the at the Doral Cultural Arts Center (8363 NW 53rd St) no later than Sunday, November 9th, 2025 by 4:00 pm. Please know that original artwork must be submitted in person no later than Sunday, November 9th by 4:00 PM at the Doral Cultural Arts Center (8363 NW 53rd St).
Is there a Theme for the Holiday Cards?
Students are asked to design a card that incorporates a favorite aspect of Doral with a winter/holiday theme and sends a "Happy Holidays" message to individuals of all denominations alike. Please ensure that submitted artwork is original artwork and does not include a student's name, school name or the names of any companies on the actual artwork. One of the words "City of Doral" or "For all the Right Reasons” or “Doral Shines” MUST appear in the artwork. Artwork should be submitted in color – any media – suitable for reproduction. Computer-generated artwork will not be accepted. The artwork must be done on a letter size drawing or construction paper, and entries need to be landscape (horizontal). Entries are not to be matted or mounted. Entries should not be anything political, religious or pandemic related.
Where Entries should be sent?
Original artworks and registration forms must be submitted in person no later than Sunday November 9th, at 4:00 PM at our Doral Cultural Arts Center: 8363 NW 53rd Terrace, Doral, FL, 33166.

How will winning designs be selected/acknowledged?
A panel of judges comprised of City of Doral employees will review all submissions and select the top designs, in each category, using a "blind" selection process. Winners will be notified by Wednesday, December 4th and will be recognized in person by the Mayor and City Council members at our Park & Tree Lighting Ceremony event on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Downtown Doral Park. Additionally, the winners will receive a bag full of Art Supplies and goodies from our event Sponsors.
All original artwork received will be displayed at the Doral Cultural Arts Center on Friday, November 21st, during the Park & Tree Lighting event hours.
