Communications Unit
The Communications Unit is the central hub of the Doral Police Department. The area operates on a 24-hour basis and is responsible for the coordination of police services at all times to the residents of Doral, the police officers and every individual
who contacts the Unit. The Unit utilizes radio, telephone, teletype, and related electronic services to interact with local, state and national agencies. Information concerning all stolen and recovered items, missing and wanted person, and emergency
alerts are received and disseminated by the Communications Unit.
The Technical Services Section is an element within the Support Services Division that is responsible for providing and coordinating technical support to the Police Departments (Harris 800 MHz P25 radio system, AVAYA telephone systems and the SunGard OSSI CAD systems) Mobile Digital Computers and the Records Management Systems for the Doral Police Department.
