Doral Launches Emergency Hardship Grant for Families
Published on December 02, 2025
The City of Doral is proud to announce the launch of the Emergency Hardship Grant for Families (EHG4F), a new program created to provide direct financial support to households facing unexpected financial challenges. This initiative reflects the City’s commitment to supporting the health, safety, and well-being of its residents.
The EHG4F program offers timely relief to families dealing with sudden hardships such as job loss, medical emergencies, or unexpected loss of income. Eligible households can receive up to $3,000 to help cover essential expenses, including housing, utilities, or emergency childcare. Payments are made directly to verified service providers to ensure proper use of funds. Applications open December 1, 2025, and will be accepted during the first ten (10) calendar days of each month, while program funds last.
“This program is something I envisioned early on as part of our commitment to putting Doral families first,” said Mayor Christi Fraga. “Life can change in an instant, and even the most hardworking families sometimes need a helping hand. The EHG4F program allows us to provide that support with dignity and care, ensuring that no family in Doral faces hardship alone.”
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be Doral residents for at least 12 consecutive months
- Meet the household income limits set by the City
- Provide documentation demonstrating a verifiable hardship
Each household may receive only one award per 12-month period. Applications will be reviewed collectively at the close of each cycle to ensure a fair and consistent evaluation process.
