Nicole is a passionate advocate for public service and community engagement whose story began in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and truly blossomed in Miami, Florida. From a young age, she embraced the importance of hard work, compassion, and giving back—values that continue to guide her every day.
When Nicole was nine, her family moved to Miami from Rhode Island. She attended Sunset Preparatory School and Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School. During these formative years, she built lasting friendships and developed a strong sense of community. She loved being active in church activities and volunteering at local nursing homes, which sparked her lifelong dedication to serving others. Nicole pursued higher education at Miami Dade College, earning an Associate of Arts in Health Services Administration. She went on to Florida International University, where she earned a Bachelor of Health Services Administration and graduated summa cum laude with a Master’s in Corporate Business. Always eager to make a difference, she later completed her Juris Doctorate at St. Thomas University to better serve her community.
Nicole shares a loving marriage with her husband, Miguel, and they are proud parents to three wonderful children—Veronica, Miguel “Mikey,” and Noah. Together, they stay deeply involved in their children’s education and activities, volunteering at their neighborhood charter school and supporting local sports teams. Nicole is active as a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) volunteer and Room Mom, and she considers being engaged in her children’s lives her favorite and most rewarding role.
Nicole’s professional journey in public service began as a legislative aide in the City of Doral, where she gained valuable insight into local government and the needs of the community. She later served as Chief of Staff on the Miami-Dade County School Board, working to support students, families, and educators. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nicole stepped up for her community by organizing food drives and hosting virtual town halls to help those most affected, demonstrating her commitment to caring for others during challenging times. Today, Nicole serves as Executive Director for Acquisition and Leasing within the Facilities, Design, and Construction Department at Miami-Dade County Public Schools. In December 2024, her dedication and commitment to the community led to her election as City Council Member for Seat 3 in Doral. She looks forward to continuing to serve the residents of Doral with a focus on senior and special needs residents, community engagement, and smart, sustainable growth.
