Call for Student Filmmakers

Description

The City of Doral is accepting short film submissions from high school students who reside or attend school in the City of Doral for participation in the 2026 Doral High School Short Film Festival. Selected films will be screened publicly at the Doral Cultural Arts Center on Thursday, May 28, 2026 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

This festival aims to showcase emerging youth talent, encourage creative storytelling, and provide young filmmakers with a professional platform to share their voices, ideas, and artistic expression with the community.

Students are encouraged to submit original short films that explore meaningful themes such as identity, community, culture, personal growth, social awareness, creativity, and youth perspectives. The students films are going to be followed by award winning short films from international filmmakers.

This call is open to high school students who live in Doral or attend a high school located within the City of Doral. Deadline for submissions:
Friday, April 3, 2026 — DEADLINE STRICTLY ENFORCED

The City of Doral and assigned selection panel will select the films to be screened.
