Golden Passport Program
The Golden Passport provides free transit rides for eligible Miami-Dade County residents.
Who Qualifies?
- Residents age 65 and older
- Social Security beneficiaries who meet program requirements
Required Documentation
- Valid Florida ID or driver's license showing a Miami-Dade County address
- Additional Social Security eligibility documentation may be required for applicants under age 65
Patriot Passport Program
The Patriot Passport provides free transit rides for eligible veterans who are Miami-Dade County residents.
Who Qualifies?
- Service-connected disabled veterans residing in Miami-Dade County
- Veterans residing in Miami-Dade County with an annual income of $38,686 or less and an eligible military discharge status
Required Documentation
- Valid Florida ID or driver's license with a Miami-Dade County address
- Military discharge documentation (DD214) or service-connected disability documentation
- Proof of income, when applicable
Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) Program
The Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) Program is a state-funded initiative that provides free transportation passes through qualifying nonprofit agencies and programs for eligible Miami-Dade County residents who are considered transportation disadvantaged.
Who Qualifies?
- Miami-Dade County residents who qualify as Transportation Disadvantaged
- Individuals who receive services through a participating nonprofit agency or program
Available Pass Types
- 1-Month Pass: Unlimited rides for one calendar month
- 7-Day Pass: Unlimited rides for seven consecutive days
- 1-Day Pass: Unlimited rides for one calendar day until 2 a.m. the following day
- 1-Trip Pass: Valid for one Metrobus or Metrorail trip, including free bus-to-bus transfers
- Annual TD Easy Card: Available through a limited grant program on a first-come, first-served basis for eligible applicants whose annual income does not exceed $35,212.50
Passes are distributed monthly through participating nonprofit agencies and programs.
