Hurricane season is officially here and the City of Doral wants to remind everyone that the time to prepare is now! Doral—like the rest of Miami-Dade County and the State of Florida—lies within the potential path of hurricanes. This is why it is imperative that you review your family’s and business’ hurricane and supplies plan sooner rather than later.
This is the seventh hurricane season in which the City of Doral Divisional Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is available for activation, if necessary. The EOC provides a centralized space for City staff and first responders to gather critical information, coordinate response activities, and manage personnel during emergencies and catastrophic events to ensure an effective and efficient recovery for our residents and business owners.
“As your Mayor and a proud member of this community, I want our residents to know that your safety is my top priority. In Doral, we take emergency preparedness seriously, and every department is working around the clock to make sure our residents, their loved ones, and their businesses are protected. We've enhanced our emergency plans, strengthened coordination with local partners, and are ready to respond at a moment’s notice. I encourage every resident to take a few moments to prepare and stay connected. Most importantly, remember—you’re not alone. We’re here for you before, during, and after the storm. Together, we’ll get through this hurricane season with strength, unity, and resilience,” said Mayor Christi Fraga.
STAY INFORMED! The City of Doral has the goal of keeping the residents and stakeholders informed. City staff use various platforms to keep the public notified of hurricane emergency alerts.
