LID is an approach to land development (or re-development) that works with nature to manage stormwater as close to its source as possible. The LID Master Plan provides the City with guidelines, recommendations and Best Management Practices to promote the implementation of green infrastructure to maintain natural flow of stormwater, reduce the discharge of specific pollutants into local waterways, provide more aesthetically pleasing developments, and reduce the impact of floods on the City stormwater system.
