City of Doral Recognized with 2019 Safe Street Award

The City of Doral was recognized with the 2019 Safe Street Award – Complete Street Community Award. This award is given to local governments or organizations in Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach that have done an outstanding job engaging the community in planning for Complete Streets.

The City of Doral has been a leader in the development of a multimodal transportation system for many years. Livable streets and a trail network have been part of the City's planning since it was incorporated in 2003. Over 10 miles of paved paths and bike lanes have been built throughout the city with more projects funded and under construction. In addition, the City is operating the Doral-FIU Trolley, a SMART Plan Demonstration Project, along NW 107 Ave to the Modesto A. Maidique Campus and Engineering Campus.
