As hurricane season approaches, the City of Doral is actively preparing to ensure the safety of our community. Our leadership and staff are focused on readiness, including a comprehensive tabletop exercise at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to ensure a swift and coordinated response if a storm impacts our area.

Under the steadfast leadership of our Mayor and City Council, and with the unwavering dedication of our city staff, Doral is taking proactive steps to ensure a swift and coordinated response should a storm impact our area. A crucial part of this readiness is our comprehensive tabletop exercise, recently conducted at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC). This rigorous simulation brings together key personnel from various city departments, allowing us to meticulously review and refine our emergency protocols. From communication channels to resource deployment and critical decision-making, every aspect of our response plan is tested and optimized. This ensures that when a storm threatens, our leadership and staff are fully prepared to act quickly and effectively, minimizing potential risks and supporting our residents.

Furthermore, we invite all residents to join us for our annual Hurricane Safety Fair on Saturday, May 31st. This invaluable event will be held at the City of Doral Police Training and Community Center and offers a wealth of resources and information. You'll have the opportunity to learn about creating a family emergency plan, assembling a disaster kit, understanding evacuation routes, and much more. Experts will be on hand to answer your questions and provide practical advice to help you prepare.
