The City of Doral is inviting all senior citizens (55 years of age or older) who reside in Doral to come and participate in trips, bingo nights, seminar and luncheons, programs and socials. We offer a variety of programs for all interests and abilities to help keep our senior citizens active and involved in our community. BEGINNER TAI CHI
22 classes total/ $2 a class for seniors.
Senior Tai Chi is a low-impact group exercise that uses movements (forms) that are performed slowly, with relaxing music playing in the background. This class is led by an instructor, who teaches and demonstrates the form so participants can follow along as a group. Forms include energy and breathing exercises (Qi Gong), Dr. Lam's Tai Chi for Arthritis 1&2 Protocol, Yang 24 (Simplified). Seated versions of the forms are also taught as an alternative to standing.

Senior Meditation, breathing and QI Gong

This class is a great way for older adults to get the wonderful health benefits of meditating, learning breathing techniques and practicing Qigong which promotes the development and flow of the body’s vital energy. Through this class seniors will learn how to calm their minds and focus on the present moment to enhance their sense of wellbeing.

This class features fun, friendship, and fitness. Gentle rhythmic movements provide a warm-up, followed by a gradual aerobic segment and exercises to help increase bone density and muscle strength. Yoga is an excellent way for older adults to loosen and stretch painful muscles, reduce stress, and improve circulation.
