Doral, FL - On July 27th the City of Doral proudly welcomed Jackson West Medical Center to the community. The new world-class facility brings cutting-edge medical services closer to Doral residents and surrounding areas. Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez, Doral City Council, along with several local elected officials, Jackson Health System executives and the Milton Family were all present for the momentous occasion. Expanding access to more residents in the western region of Miami-Dade County is of utmost importance especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The new facility is equipped with the latest technology and expert healthcare professionals to ensure top-level medical attention for all patients. The medical campus will be the first of its kind in Doral with a 100-bed all private acute care hospital named José Milton Memorial Hospital. In its 103-year history, Jackson Health System has never built an acute care facility until now. Other state-of-the art features available include: adult and pediatric emergency room, surgical facilities and specialty physician clinics. Jackson West Medical Center opens to the public in early August. We thank the Jackson Health System for choosing Doral as the home of their new and remarkable medical center that will no-doubt help many and continue to make our City shine as the premier City to live, work, learn and play.
