Early Friday morning, police units heroically responded to the Trump Resort in regards to an armed gunman in the lobby of the resort. Both Miami-Dade County and Doral Police units responded to the call.
Early Friday morning, police units heroically responded to the Trump Resort in regards to an armed gunman in the lobby of the resort. Both Miami-Dade County and Doral Police units responded to the call. Upon arrival, the gunman exchanged gunfire with the Police Units. No police officers, staff or guests were shot during the gun-fire exchange. The gunman was injured and transported to the hospital.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) have responded to the scene. FDLE will be the main agency taking command. Miami-Dade County Police will be providing updates through media briefings and on Twitter (@MiamiDadePD).
