How do I register my alarm system?
If you are not registered with the City, Please Download Form, complete the form, make you check or money order payable to “City of Doral” and deliver by mail to: 6100 NW 99th Avenue, Doral, FL 33178. You can also pay online by credit card or in person with cash, check or money order.
What is the cost of the alarm registration?
- Residential Property: $25.00
- Commercial Property: $25.00
Who is required to have an alarm registered?
Everyone operating an alarm system inside the city limits is required to register their alarm system. Government buildings are exempt from paying the registration fee but must register the alarm.
Does the registration have to be renewed every year?
Yes, but if there are no false alarm incidents in a calendar year the registration fee is waived.
Will I be charged for alarm activations that are not false?
No, you will never be charges for an alarm activation that is not false; this ordinance allows charges for false alarm only.
What if my alarm is activated accidentally?

If I disagree with an assessed fine, can I appeal?
Yes. If you disagree, the ordinance has an appeal provision. See Section 11-14 of the Ordinance 2007-05.
Do I have to register my car alarm?
No, car alarms do not need to be registered.
What will happen if I do not pay the alarm fines?
Failure to pay the alarm fines invoice within 60 days will result in an 18% late fee.
I received duplicate alarm invoices at my address; what can I do?
If you received a duplicate alarm invoice, please contact us at 305-593-6699 so we can delete the incorrect invoice(s). If you are directed to a voicemail box, please leave a message with your name, account number and contact information.
Where can I read or obtain a copy of the ordinance?

Will officers check the whole house?
Yes, officers will check all accessible areas. If you keep a dog in the back or side yard, there should be signs posted.
I am a property owner and my tenant has a number of false alarms, why am I being held responsible?
The property owner is always responsible for the property.
