Doral Receives Aetna Workplace
Well-being Making a Difference Award

The City of Doral is proud to announce that we have received a Making a Difference Gold Level Aetna Workplace Well-being Award. This award is the culmination of our employees' desire to live healthier, more active lives, and make well-being a priority. As an employer with a strong commitment to improving the health of our employees, the City features a comprehensive well-being strategy that employees are passionate about. The Workplace Well-being Awards by Aetna was established in 2017 and selects candidates by a peer review committee made up of well-being professionals with an average of 25 years of experience. The committee reviewed and scored all applications based on pre-defined criteria.

This is the third year in a row that the City of Doral has applied and have been honored to be selected as a Gold Level status. The workplace well-being program focuses on creating and maintaining an active lifestyle, mental health awareness and treatment, group and individual exercise programs, incentives for gym memberships, no-cost to the employee primary care visits, and many more wellness programs. Our award application and well-being program was honored based upon our superior performance in the following areas:

• Wellness Challenge completion
• City of Doral's very own Walk Yourself Fit Book
