Doral, FL – The City of Doral has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA), for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) for its Annual Budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2016.

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by its management in meeting the highest principles of government budgeting.

The award-winning CAFR has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, satisfying the guidelines of being proficient as a policy document, financial document, operations guide, and a communications device.

The Certificate of Recognition for Budget Presentation was presented to the Finance Department at the August 9th Council Meeting.
