The Government Finance Officers Association awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to Doral for its comprehensive annual financial report for fiscal year 2015. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by government and its management. This recognition demonstrates the City’s commitment to stability, transparency and fiscal responsibility.
The award-winning financial report was judged by an impartial committee to meet the high standards of the program including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the comprehensive annual financial report.
A formal presentation for this achievement will take place at a future Council Meeting.
