As the COVID-19 situation evolves, the City will continue to closely follow the guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Florida Department of Health and Miami-Dade County. We encourage the community to follow us on social media -- @cityofdoral (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and on the City of Doral website for updates on future scheduled events.

We are taking preventative measures as advised by federal and state agencies. We have increased the frequency with which City facilities are being sanitized and City employees are being asked to stay home if they are sick. The community is being encouraged to wash their hands frequently and use hand sanitizers located in our facilities.

The CDC reminds everyone to do their part to minimize the chance of further spreading the virus through preventative measures like:

Washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe
  • Take personal responsibility. If you are sick with a fever, cough or viral symptoms, please stay away from others, including the work environment and crowded areas

It’s important that everyone follow these best practices for preventing illness and that we all remain calm as we work through this period.

To learn more about COVID-19 and stay up-to-date with announcements, please visit the CDC website.
