ODOR CONTROL UPDATE: Doral Environmental Advisory Task Force

Odor Control Update

#WhatMattersToYouMattersToUs ODOR CONTROL UPDATE

The Mayor and Council, along with City Administration and staff, share in your concerns about odor and environmental issues in Doral. We are working to respond to these concerns and exploring any issues to identify possible solutions. That is why the collaboration with residents, businesses and the pertinent agencies is imperative.

Did you know there is a Doral Environmental Advisory Task Force that is made up of key stakeholders in the community that like you, want a clean and healthy environment for all of us in Doral and volunteer their time for this cause? They conduct public hearings and make inquiries and investigations as it deems appropriate and then report to the Mayor and City Council the findings and recommendations for service improvements and potential solutions to issues identified.

The participation of the citizens, residents and businesses of the City of Doral are invited and encouraged to attend these Task Force Meetings. Visit www.cityofdoral.com for the calendar.

As of September's meeting the Task Force is working with City staff to inquire about water quality data and analysis from DERM (Miami-Dade County Environmental Resources Management) on groundwater monitoring. We are also working together to coordinate a Q&A session from representatives of WASA (Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department).

This is not something that can be fixed over night or by just one party, but know that we are working together and making progress. #DoralFacts
