JOIN THE SILVER CLUB! The City of Doral is inviting all senior citizens (55 years of age or older) who reside in Doral to come and participate in trips, bingo nights, seminar and luncheons, programs and socials. We offer a variety of programs for all interests and abilities to help keep our senior citizens active and involved in our community. Trip: Fairchild Botanical Garden
Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is an 83-acre botanic garden with extensive collections of rare tropical plants including palms, cycads, flowering trees, and vines. Silver Club members will enjoy the garden and they will be offered a tram tour one at 11am and one at 11:30am to tour the garden.

Silver Club members will enjoy a delicious Hibachi lunch at one of our Japanese restaurants here in Doral. Transportation will be available from Morgan Levy Park but if members want to drive to the restaurant they can as well. We just ask you to please let us know. Senior Meditation, breathing and QI Gong
This class is a great way for older adults to get the wonderful health benefits of meditating, learning breathing techniques and practicing Qigong which promotes the development and flow of the body’s vital energy. Through this class seniors will learn how to calm their minds and focus on the present moment to enhance their sense of wellbeing.

Senior Tai Chi is a low-impact group exercise that uses movements (forms) that are performed slowly, with relaxing music playing in the background. This class is led by an instructor, who teaches and demonstrates the form so participants can follow along as a group. Forms include energy and breathing exercises (Qi Gong), Dr. Lam's Tai Chi for Arthritis 1&2 Protocol, Yang 24 (Simplified). Seated versions of the forms are also taught as an alternative to standing.

This class features fun, friendship, and fitness. Gentle rhythmic movements provide a warm-up, followed by a gradual aerobic segment and exercises to help increase bone density and muscle strength.
