Staff continues to meet with the contractor and design team on a bi-weekly basis to review the construction progress.

The community center building is now enclosed with A/C installed! The floors and ceilings are also painted and lighting installation is now complete. Oak trees are planted around the park and the installation of the playground has begun.

January 1, 2019, Staff continues to meet with the contractor and design team on a bi-weekly basis to review the construction progress. The contractor is working on the site and has installed the roof systems for both the Nature Center and Restroom Building. In addition, work inside both buildings such as drywall installation and door/window framing is ongoing.

On September 14, 2018, Beams were installed today at Doral Glades Park! This park will be located on 74th Street between NW 97th and 107th Avenue.

Doral Glades Park Construction is on its way! Looking forward to the first and only nature center in the Northwest Area of Miami-Dade County.

As of Tuesday, June 20, 2017, the Parks Department staff and CPZ Architects continue to meet to discuss the progress of Doral Glades Park.

During the month of February-March, staff continued to have weekly conference calls and meetings with the architect to finalize the construction documents for this project. The final changes are being made to the documents and a 100% set should be completed before the end of March 2017.

The Department continues to meet with the architectural and engineering firm and the construction management team to discuss the progress of Doral Glades Park.

On October 13, 2016, the Department hosted the Doral Glades Groundbreaking! What an exciting and beautiful day to break ground at the City's first environmentally focused park.

The Parks and Recreation Department had a Doral Glades Park Pre-Construction Meeting at the Doral Government Center on Wednesday, September 21, 2016.

Project is in the Schematic Design phase. CPZ Architects has provided some preliminary layouts of the building and site. The City is working with Terra Group to obtain the final as-builts and additional information needed.

The project kick-off meeting was held on November 12, 2015 at City Hall. Currently working on revising the conceptual and waiting on Terra Group for the final as-builts.

On November 10, 2015, the Department had aerials taken of Doral Glades Park:

Agreement for the Architectural & Engineering Services and Related Disciplines has been sent to the awarded firm CPZ Architects for execution. The Parks & Recreation Department has set a kick-off meeting for November 5th, 2015 with CPZ Architects.

• During the October 13, 2015 Council Meeting, the Mayor and Council approved the new park name “Doral Glades Park” for Doral North Park.

• As of this week, the Director and the City Manager’s Office met with Terra Group. The Representative from Terra Group advised us that the land will be turned over to the City by November 1, 2015.

• Still negotiating agreement with CPZ the architectural and engineering firm for Doral North Park. Waiting on Terra Group to turn over the land. A Terra Group Representative stated that the land will be given back to the City in 3-4 weeks.

• The City of Doral scheduled an aerial photoshoot for the future Doral North Park to view the progress of the site.

• Staff met with CPZ Architects to discuss the budget, design, and possible programming for the future Doral North Park. Staff will meet with CPZ again in 2-3 weeks to discuss the fee proposal.
