The Building Department now has a new online permitting system. Effective Monday, April 1, 2013, you will be able to schedule online inspections, view permit history, and other additional information.

In order to schedule online inspections, you will be asked to enter a Valid Number. The number can be obtained by using the last four characters of your permit number for applications submitted prior to April 1, 2013. Permits issued as of April 1, 2013 will be issued a Valid Number when the Permit Card is printed.

You may also schedule inspections via the Inspection Telephone Request Line at (305) 593-6770 (Monday-Friday, except legal holidays, from 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.).

In the coming weeks, the Department will be finalizing our data validation for the transition of this new permitting system; as such, should you need complete permit historical data (e.g. Open/Expired Permits or Records Request), please visit our website under Forms and select the applicable form or contact our Records Section at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . This will ensure that you have the most complete historical permit information.
