City of Doral Police Begins its Food Drive for the Holidays
 

Doral, FL – With the assistance of all Doral schools and various businesses, the City of Doral Police Department will begin its yearly food drive for the upcoming holidays.  The food drive will benefit needy families in the City as well as organizations and agencies based out of the City of Doral who aid families throughout Miami-Dade County.

The food drive schedule is as follows:

November 15, 2012: Food donations will be picked up by City of Doral Police Department Community Service Unit from local businesses and schools from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

November 16, 2012: Food will be packed at Doral Charter High School by City of Doral Police Community Service Unit and students from 7:30am to 3:00pm. At 11:00 a.m. food bags and turkeys will be delivered in the morning to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, located at 3900 NW 79 Avenue, #731, Doral, FL. The Church in turn will deliver food bags and turkeys at 2:00 p.m. to needy families.

November 19, 2012:  Food bags and turkeys will be delivered in the morning starting at 9:00am to the local schools within the City of Doral. The Schools in turn will deliver to needy families within the City of Doral.  At 5:00pm, City of Doral Police will depart to the Sant La (Haitian Neighborhood Center) located at 5000 Biscayne Blvd. to deliver turkeys and food bags at that location starting at 6:30 p.m.

November 20, 2012: Food bags and turkeys will be delivered from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to various City of Doral and Miami-Dade County Community groups and organizations, which will in turn deliver them to needy families within the City of Doral and Miami-Dade County at large.

At 6:00 p.m. City of Doral Police will distribute turkeys and food bags at Corpus Christi Catholic Church located at 3220 NW 7 Avenue, Miami, FL. 

November 21, 2012: Food bags and turkeys will be delivered from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to various City of Doral and Miami-Dade County Community groups and organizations, which will in turn deliver them to needy families within the City of Doral and Miami-Dade County at large.

At 6:30 p.m. City of Doral Police will distribute turkeys and food bags to the Department of Children and Families located at 1490 NW 27 Avenue, Miami, FL.

November 22, 2012: City of Doral Police will be takingfood to Camillus House as a donation from the City of Doral (Time: t.b.a.)
