Miami-Dade County construction project for the widening of NW 74 Street from NW 114 Avenue to NW 107 Avenue from 5 lanes to 6 lanes (3 lanes eastbound & 3 lanes westbound). Start Date: Bid have been received for the project and construction is anticipated to start October 2014.
SR826 (Palmetto) and SR836 (Dolphin) Interchange Improvement Project over NW 12th Street (FDOT & Miami-Dade Expressway Authority Project) ONGOING - Percentage of Completion 78.4%
In 2009, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Six in partnership with the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX) began a reconstruction project of the S.R. 826 (Palmetto Expressway) and S.R. 836 (Dolphin Expressway) Interchange. Work includes widening both S.R. 826 and S.R. 836 and the construction of a four-level interchange that will include direct ramps to provide movements in all directions between the highways. The project limits are West Boundary (NW 87th Avenue), East Boundary (NW 57th Avenue), South Boundary (SW 8th Street), & North Boundary (NW 25th Street).
Construction continues on the SR 826/SR 836 Interchange as crews work on opening new roadways and ramps. The new lanes on Milam Dairy Road connecting NW 12 Street and NW 7 Street are expected to open in August 2014.

Project: NW 25 Street Overpass - Percentage of Completion 57.6%
Limits: From NW 89 Court to SR 826 (Palmetto Expressway)
Purpose: The purpose of this project is to improve the flow of traffic on NW 25 Street and facilitate the movement of cargo in and out of the cargo facilities at Miami International Airport (MIA). This segment of the project will connect the viaduct with the east segment viaduct and provide a direct connection to the cargo facilities from NW 82 Avenue.
Reconstruct NW 25 Street at Grade (New Drainage, Lighting, Signing & Marking, Signals (NW 87 Ave, NW 84 Ave, NW 82 Ave and NW 79 Ave), Landscape and ADA compliance at all Intersection)
NW 25 Street roadway widened from its existing configuration of five lanes undivided to six lanes divided with wide medians.
Crews are preparing to shift to Phase 2 construction activities in September. During Phase 2, crews will be able to construct portions of the south side of the roadway as well as construct additional bridge foundations.
