In 2005 the City of Doral, established a program to promote cleanliness by decreasing litter throughout City street. In support to the Mayor’s “Keep Doral Beautiful” campaign now you can adopt a one mile stretch of road and keep it clean for a period of two years.

The Adopt-a-Street program is an important way of maintaining the beautification of our City's right-of-way. Local organizations, private corporations and volunteer groups alike gather together to perform litter removal along one mile section of road adopted by each group.  This two year agreement keeps each group responsible for the removal of litter along their adopted street a minimum of four times each year.  As an important part of the beautification program, the Public Works Department prepares a special event where our City Council members recognize the group for their participation in the program on their first scheduled clean-up.  In gratitude and acknowledgement of the group's commitment to the Adopt-a-Street Program, the City of Doral places a sign with the name of the group or person along their adopted road.
