JCChamber.jpgJuanCarlosBermudez.jpgJuan Carlos Bermudez, born in Santa Clara, Cuba, came to the United States when he was 3 years old. He received his bachelor of arts from the University of Miami in 1984. Returned to South Florida to practice law after graduation from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1987.

Mayor Bermudez has been involved in many community and civic organizations, was the founder and former president of One Doral. Mayor Bermudez was first appointed and then elected to the Doral Community Council in 2002 and was later appointed chair by his fellow Council members. In July 2003, he was elected the first Mayor of the new City of Doral. He resides in Doral with his wife, Vivian, his daughters, Eneida Marie and Elena Catherine and newborn Elisa Nicole.
