Lien Search Letter Process, Creating Templates

Requesting a Municipal Lien and Code Violation letter
Interested parties, such as title companies and individuals, may request the City to check its records for open violations and outstanding liens against a property for a NON-REFUNDABLE fee of $85 per address through our new Customer Self Service (CSS System), you may conveniently pay with Visa or Mastercard. Payments with American Express are not accepted at this time. The first step to register is creating an account, this will give the requestor the accessibility to submit and retrieve requested letters and have unlimited access to them. Once the requested letter is approved, the requestor will receive a notification through the email provided in its CSS account. All lien and code violation searches may take up to 3 business days to complete upon the date received by our department. Phone payments and manual paper search requests are not accepted at this time.

Please be advised that the information contained in the lien letters is limited to the City of Doral and does not include any information regarding liens, assessments or other charges imposed by Miami-Dade County or any other agency.

Search Requirements
You must provide the folio number for each property for every lien search that you request. If one folio has more than one address, an $85.00 fixed fee will be charged for each address.

If you do not know the identification, or folio, number for a property, you can go to the Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser's website and conduct a Property Search by either the owner's name or property address
 Click Here. Once the page for the property is accessed, you will find the property identification number located in the top left-hand corner of the page (it is shown as Folio No).

The City of Doral lien letter will show the same information that is shown in the Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser’s website.

Note: Issuance of a Lien Search Report by the City of Doral shall not relieve the requesting party from the responsibility of searching the Public Records of Miami-Dade County, Florida, for all liens or other documents recorded by the City of Doral, Florida against the property and/or property owner.
